GBST donates $24,000 for Red Cross bushfire relief and recovery appeal

03/03/2020

GBST has raised $24,000 to support relief and recovery efforts after Australia’s tragic summer bushfires.

The funds were raised for the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund which enables Red Cross teams on the ground to support individuals and communities recovering from the Black Summer bushfires.

Robert DeDominicis, Group CEO, commented:

“It’s been heartbreaking to see the loss of lives and destruction of communities and the environment over this past summer. We are really pleased to be able to make this contribution to help those impacted as they rebuild their homes and lives.”

“I’m grateful to our fantastic team members from across the globe who generously donated to our fundraising efforts.”

Judy Slatyer, Red Cross CEO, commented:

“Red Cross has been responding to Australian disasters for more than a century, but we have never seen fires of this size and scale. The impact has been felt far and wide, in the tragic loss of life, and homes and livelihoods destroyed.”

“The outpouring of support we’ve seen for the response and recovery effort has been overwhelmingly generous. We are humbled to have seen first-hand what the power of people, communities, and businesses like yours, uniting in times of crisis, can achieve.”
