Our community

GBST in the community

We are dedicated to giving back in the communities where we live and work through a range of activities and fundraising.

We actively support a range of community organisations, events and charities around the world. We raise funds for causes that are close to the hearts of our team members, as well as working with organisations dedicated to bettering our industry.

From charity runs and morning teas to donating blood, our teams get involved in a variety of activities to raise awareness and funds for important causes.

Virtual relay for NHS: Help Our Heroes

Our UK staff took part in a virtual relay to keep fit while working from home and raise money for the NHS: Help Our Heroes campaign. This campaign supports NHS workers on the frontline in the battle against COVID-19. We raised over £1,300 so far and covered more than 350 miles.

Australian bushfire relief and recovery

We raised $24,000 to support relief and recovery efforts after Australia’s tragic 2019/2020 summer bushfires. The funds were raised for the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund which enables teams on the ground to support individuals and communities recovering from the Black Summer bushfires.

Red Cross Red25

We are part of the Red Cross Red25 corporate program and we’re working alongside other organisations to achieve 25% of all blood donations needed in Australia. Many of our team members regularly donate blood and collectively we’ve already saved over 200 lives since joining the program in January 2019!

MS Sydney to the Gong

We’re long-time supporters of the MS Sydney to the Gong charity cycling event which raises awareness and funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). A group of dedicated GBST team members (including CEO Robert DeDominicis) took on the challenge in 2019, riding 82km from Sydney to Wollongong!

International Women’s Day

We support International Women’s Day by attending annual UN Women National Committee Australia events in Sydney & Brisbane. The 2020 theme of ‘Generation Equality’ is a call to action to join forces across generations, to create a world where every girl and woman has equal opportunities to fulfil their potential.

R U OK? Day

Teams across all our offices talked mental health at R U OK? Day morning tea events. R U OK? aims to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with people around them and support anyone struggling with life.
