Blog 21/03/2024

The Salesforce World Tour in Sydney was a beacon of innovation, learning, community and, of course, Einsteins’! GBST’s WealthConnect team is excited to use the knowledge gained from Salesforce’s latest offerings and new ways to leverage technology to further develop our advisor solution, WealthConnect, built on the Salesforce platform.

Throughout the event, Pierce, Tegan, Jared, Ayush, Alan, and Nick immersed themselves in the Salesforce ecosystem, learned about the latest technological advancements, and discovered how these could be applied to enhance our product and service offerings.

The team had their own unique perspectives and objectives dedicated to leveraging Salesforce to its fullest potential as an ISV partner. They left feeling passionate about the impact that generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) could have on our client base and the advantages it could bring to automate business processes and enhance customer interactions within the safety of the Salesforce CRM and Data Cloud.

Here are some key insights from Team GBST, who walked away with bubbling ideas on how to build upon them. As more and more time is spent on administration and compliance-based activity within Wealth Management and Advice businesses, automating processes in a safe and structured way will give businesses back time, create efficiency, and allow more valuable time to spend with clients.

Innovations and solutions

Pierce Wittke highlighted the importance of connecting with the Salesforce partner and customer ecosystem, emphasising the event’s role in understanding the future of Generative AI within Salesforce. Tegan Quirk and Jared Erb were impressed by the practical applications of Salesforce’s new technologies, particularly in Data Cloud and AI functionalities: “Our clients can access the Salesforce generative AI functionality out of the box”. The team now has the exciting challenge of applying it to WealthConnect and enriching client experiences beyond the standard applications.

Learning and development

Deep dives into technology architectures and practical sessions on Data Cloud were invaluable for Jared, offering clarity on integrating multiple data sources. Sessions that showed Data Cloud in use were invaluable for Tegan, and she’s excited that it’s now available in beta for ISV partners to access. Accessing beta versions of new features means the team can upskill, test, and consider new technology as a part of the design and development process for future WealthConnect enhancements.

AI functionality excitement

Ayush Cyriac and Nick Winkley explored the potential of Einstein CoPilot Studio’s Prompt Builder and Skills Builder, aiming to enhance WealthConnect with robust, intelligent systems. Tegan sees the Prompt Builder as a way to create efficiency and automation with everyday tasks for advice practitioners. Pierce and Jared see conversational AI as a game-changer for client interactions on WealthConnect, automating tactical tasks and speeding up work such as file notes, tasks, workflows, and onboarding automation. All of this will free up advisers for higher-value activities and greater efficiency, reducing the time to prepare analyses and deploy insights.

The Salesforce ecosystem

For Pierce and Ayush, being part of the Salesforce ecosystem means being part of a supportive community that fosters growth, innovation, and collaboration. Alan Cai and Nick value the ecosystem for its assurance of quality and its culture of sharing and cooperation. The team agrees that the World Tour is more than just a tech conference; it’s a vibrant gathering that inspires and educates. From Jared’s perspective as a first-timer, the event was highly engaging and packed with knowledgeable enthusiasts eager to share their Salesforce experiences.

The insights gained have deepened our understanding of Salesforce’s capabilities and highlighted the importance of being part of the broader Salesforce group. The event underscored the value of continuous learning and the power of technology to drive business growth.

The Salesforce World Tour in Sydney was a testament to an ecosystem’s vibrant, innovative spirit. Our team’s attendance at this event has reinforced our commitment to leveraging Salesforce to its fullest, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological innovation and industry leadership in the advice space.
