Process automation is at the heart of the engine and helps to radically reduce the human involvement needed in processing a given transaction. However with our STEP or Straight Through Exception Processing approach, we can resolve and manage exceptions and broken trades automatically, without recourse to human intervention. Automated repair of exceptions is achieved by instigating interactions with other systems – both internal and external, including fetching reference data or SSIs from central repositories as required, to repair outstanding tasks and issues. As a result, STP rates rise and operational costs to sort out problems dramatically fall.
