We are seeking a high-calibre graduate to join the Broker Services Division within the Derivatives team in the role of Graduate Developer.

What we offer

As a graduate, you will undertake an 18 month to 2 year development program that will provide you with hands on experience in software development. You will also have access to our highly skilled senior developers who will support and mentor you in line with your agreed development program.

You will be working as part of a team that provides systems and solutions to our clients through the GBST Derivative suite of products. These products cover a range of functions from back office clearing and settlement to front office risk management and trading systems over ASX Exchange Trades Options (ETO’s) and Futures. GBST also provide solutions for the clearing and settlement of foreign exchange transactions.

You will need to:

• Be a final year student or recently degree qualified graduate in one of the following disciplines - Maths, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or IT/Computing.
• Have achieved a credit or above.
• Have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Have a desire to solve complex business problems.
• Have strong mathematical skills.
• Develop an understanding of the existing Derivative product suite.
• Develop an understanding of the markets that the Derivative products operate in.
• Possess a desire to understand options pricing, valuation and margining.
• Share the GBST values – initiative, teamwork, professionalism & customer service, integrity, people and success.
• Be prepared to learn and develop software in multiple languages.
