| GBST is proud to continue to support the community and
since 2005 we have made approximately $135,000
in donations.
Our community involvement theme for the next two years is 'social welfare in Australia' and 'support for people with medical needs'. The focus is on supporting organisations and programs that:
- provide rehabilitation, advice and comfort for people [and their families] with medical problems and disabilities
- make long-term socio-economic improvements for disadvantaged Australians
In 2007, we invited our staff to nominate organisations that fit with this theme and focus. We contacted each of these organisations asking for proposals on how we could assist with their programs. After evaluating these proposals we have decided to support the following organisations:
Social Welfare in Australia
- St James College
- Youth Off the Streets
- Lifeline Australia
- Salvation Army Queensland
- Australian Red Cross
- Australian Red Cross Night Café
Support for people with medical needs
Boomerang Project

Hear and Say Centre

Autism Queensland

As well as:
- Movember (Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia & Beyond Blue)
- Leukaemia Foundation of Australia
- Youngcare (Brisbane)
- MS Australia
- The Cancer Council - and -
- The Spastic Centre
